A hands-on trumpet starter kit designed to teach, inspire, and introduce new players to the world of music.
Trumpet Starter Kit
Created for a visual narrative project, this piece began with a real-life task: teaching someone how to play the trumpet using my own materials and experience. From that process, I developed a branded beginner’s kit designed to make learning trumpet accessible, engaging, and informative.
The result was Crescendo Essentials, a cohesive starter kit designed with young or first-time musicians in mind. The package includes valve oil and slide grease with custom-designed labels, two trumpet brushes, and a hand-bound beginner’s guide. The book covers trumpet maintenance, cleaning, parts of the instrument, and basic sheet music to get started.
To bring personality and warmth to the kit, I incorporated original photographs of my personal trumpets alongside watercolor splashes used consistently throughout the visuals. I also designed a polishing cloth as part of the brand, crafted and sewn by hand to match the Crescendo identity.
This project combines education, packaging, and personal connection through a unified brand experience rooted in music and storytelling.
